Clad in Copper

The Scottsdale Museum of the West is located in a copper-clad building in the heart of the Scottsdale Gallery District.  All that copper against a blue sky makes for some interesting photo ops.

I took advantage of the light and snapped a few photos of the museum's exterior.

All that copper makes a rather weathered background for an equally weathered yucca plant.

My favorite scene is to catch that copper against a bright blue sky with a few passing white clouds.

Just a bit of architectural abstract framing.

The copper looks dazzling against the blue of the sky.

Very arty captures.

In summer the copper is almost blinding.

A material and color that is at home in the terraine.

I wonder if the copper will eventually turn green in your climate, Sharon. I like the look of it very much.

I'm curious if those Saguaros are real.

Interesting. From a distance it looks like aged wood.
