Drawn to the Red

Just like a hummingbird or a bee, I'm drawn to the bright red of a flower in full bloom.  It's been about three months since I've seen the hibiscus plants around my place blooming.  I was happy to see this one.

I even went in for a close-up!

I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today.  I have some of my favorite photos from trips around the U.S.

These shots certainly say "tropical" to me. Wonderful.

Beautiful! That's the best color of hibiscus, I think.

We have hibiscus here, in Spokane, where it snows and gets cold (although it's not Minnesota cold) and they overwinter. It's amazing to me that they survive here.
