Reaching For A Hummingbird

This mural was painted by Amanda Adkins, a Phoenix based artist.  It's on the side of the West Winds Studio Apartments on 16th Street.  Amanda is an art educator and taught a course in mural making at Arizona State University.  I like the way the girl in this mural looks like she's about to fly away behind that hummingbird.

Taking part in Monday Murals.

I also like the trail of petals (?) behind one hummer and the swirling ribbon behind the other. It looks as if there's another interesting mural hidden in the distance beyond this one.
