Winter Trees

I was stopping at the traffic light when I spotted the trees that line the side of this office building.  The late afternoon sun was lighting up the building so the mostly bare trees really stood out.

For most of the year, these trees look like this, full and green and shading the office building.  Having grown up in Illinois, I enjoy seeing how different the seasons roll out here in the desert southwest.

Lovely sight! It is just the opposite of the weather here.

I loved the subtle change of seasons in warmer climates.

Late afternoon light in winter is so wonderful the way it colours things.

I love the first photo, nicely composed.

The people in those offices must like it when the trees are bare and they get some direct sun. (Or maybe they hate it?)

Quite a contrast.

But the bare trees are a good look against the building.
