Super Bowl Mural

My photo only shows a little slice of this mural.  It's located in Downtown Phoenix in spot very difficult to photograph.  It was painted last year when Phoenix hosted the Super Bowl.

The artist is Lucinda "La Morena" Hinojos. She is an indigenous artist and she gave this mural a very Native American look.

If you want to see the whole mural, click here.  It will take you to a newspaper article about the mural with a great photo that appears to have been taken from the roof of one of the buildings.

I featured that mural in the foreground two years ago.  That post is here.

Taking part in Monday Murals.

It's too bad that the mural isn't very visible from the ground since it looks great, Sharon.

I like this mural-on-mural shot! It's interesting how large-scale artworks are so much more common nowadays than they used to be. Maybe paint is cheaper, or paint technology is better, or there are more artists working on a mural scale? I wonder.
