A Little Bit of Rain
In most of the world, rain is a necessary nuisance. Here in the desert it is so rare that we enjoy every drop. I woke up to rain yesterday morning and it lasted most of the morning. It wasn't a hard, driving rain so it probably won't do much to fill the reservoirs but it will give the plants a nice drink.
The weather app on my phone says that it will be gone in 24 hours and we will have the sun back once again. So, I'm enjoying it while it lasts.
Here in Perth it's been raining for a week, and will continue for another week. Last week just in 2 days it rained more than the normal rainfall for the month of July, with lots of flooded streets, fallen trees, a sinkhole... the ground is just so waterlogged.

We're in a period of rain showers these days, but we have needed it.
We have floodings in our country at the moment! Too much rainfall!

Reading your post I don't feel like complaining about the rainy days we have been having lately.
It hasn't rained here in almost a week but it's cloudy and humid.
Same up here - a little bit and far between.
A soaking rain like that is excellent for plants -- it's not fast enough to run off and it seeps in.
