Ringing in the New Year

I rang in the new year with my friends Julie and Dave and Glenda at the Phoenix Symphony Gala once again this year.  It was another fabulous event.

Julie took this shot of our table.  She used the wide angle lens on her iPhone and managed to capture the whole table just after the soup was served.

One of my favorite things was watching this group of young people dancing while the symphony orchestra was departing and the dance band was arriving.  What an energetic group!  They were amazing to watch and they certainly got everyone in the mood to dance. Once they were done performing, the dance floor was open to all and the band played on until 1:00 AM.

Certainly looks like a better than average way to bring in the New Year!

An elegant way to start the year, Sharon!

That looks like a blast! Definitely better than going to bed at 10 p.m., like...some people I know. :)

A good way to mark the occasion.

It looks like a great event. And what nice bragging rights: "I went to a gala for New Year's Eve." It has a nice ring to it.
