Cape Aloe

I mentioned yesterday that some of the aloe plants were blooming when I went for a walk at the Desert Botanical Garden.  My favorite of all the different aloe plants is the Cape Aloe.  It has luscious, tall orange/yellow blooms.

They look so exotic and maybe a bit alien.  The blooms last many days so they can be enjoyed for quite a while.

I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today.  I'm visiting a high-in-the-sky nightclub in New York.

I wonder if my little plant will look like that when it finally grows up. :-)

I really like them, kind of like alien plants, I have some growing under the eaves in the front garden where it's dry.
