90 Years

While I was in Tucson I made a stop at my all-time favorite Mexican Restaurant, El Charro.  It's located in the historic barrio area so it was in the same area where I was photographing the houses I featured the past two days.  To my surprise, I happened to arrive on their 90th anniversary in business.  Imagine that, a restaurant that has been in business for 90 years!  And of course, everything was delicious.
I featured a photo from the front of this restaurant back in May.  You can see it here.

What a beautiful interior.

I am not certain but I think I ate here once. It was less than 90 years ago though!

Very nice! The food must be good to stay in business that long. We have a restaurant called El Charro here too that has been in business a long time. Probably not related.

In view of how often restaurants fail, 90 years in business is indeed impressive.

It might be worth a trip to Tucson just to try out this place. We've got several Mexican restaurants in Ocala and none of them are worth a darn!

Maybe El Charro could open a branch here?

90 years is a long time. That's older than me for crying out loud!

Again the colours are so vibrant and rich Sharon, the stained glass window is stunning!

They must REALLY be good; love the front of the restaurant you featured. I am salivating for some good authentic Mexican food.

It looks wonderful in there - glad the food is just as good as the decor!

That is incredible! Its longevity certainly speaks to the quality of its menu. I'm so looking forward to my trip to Arizona in a couple of weeks to again partake of some "real" Mexican food instead of this Tex-Mex-mess that is served here! Sorry Texans!

Beautiful interior.

Actually, I can't imagine that. Most restaurants fail in the first year. Ninety years for a restaurant in Tucson? Amazing!
