Arizonans tend to love Sonoran style Mexican Food and El Charro in Tucson has to be one of the very best. The restaurant was established in 1922 and boasts that it is the nation’s oldest Mexican Restaurant in continuous operation. Even though they have several locations in the Tucson area, it’s the downtown historic location that I like the best. The photo above is entrance to the patio bar called “Toma”. When I took this week long trip to southern Arizona, I stopped here for lunch on the way down and once again on the way back at the end of the week.
The smaller photo shows the sign to the restaurant.

I love the streaks of sunshine on the sunshine yellow wall.
Another brilliantly hued building. It is truly sunshine yellow.
I had a feeling we would be seeing this place! We have an El Charro here in Prescott too. I wonder if they are related.
Just a beautiful entryway. Always good to know of favorite or best restaurants.
I'm still craving a margarita.....
Fabulous pics! Such colours in Tucson.
My mouth is watering. You know how much I miss the good stuff!
There is something about that rich, deep yellow color that makes me warm and happy. I am so easy to manipulate . . .
What a great shade of yellow. I will have to see about going here the next time I go to Tucson to visit my brother.
Wow that's bright.
