Last Sunday was a rainy day in Phoenix. I think we were getting some of that heavy rain that hit California over the weekend. It didn't seem to rain here quite as hard as it did on the west coast.
I took a short drive around the city around noon to see how things were looking after being rained upon. I liked seeing the low hanging clouds hovering over the tops of the mountains.
That wonderful rock formation called the Praying Monk wasn't shrouded in clouds but the mountain above him was.

Excellent for the Desert wild flowers!
We seem to have the same weather, misty and rainy....
It is good that you didn't get as much as California! We are having ice pellets and freezing rain for the day so it is a tricky day for getting around.
Wow! That telephoto lens is awesome!
The low clouds really add drama to the landscape.
Nice shot of the low covered clouds on the mountains. We have your weather here today. :(
Beautiful shots with those low hanging clouds.
There's nothing quite like the perfume of unexpected rain Sharon, looks amazing ✨
