To Market We Go

Today is Farmer’s Market day in my neighborhood. The extreme summer heat in Phoenix does not discourage the local farmers from selling their products in an open air market and it certainly doesn’t discourage the customers. I had a hard time finding a place to park last Saturday. This market employs the use of huge air coolers and fans to take the edge off of that 100+ degree heat.

Hello Sharon!
Your market needs air coolers? Mine would often need umbrellas and raincoats!
Thank you for your nice visit to ArradonDP and welcome to your new blog!

Greetings from Juneau, Alaska!Welcome to the CDP Family!

It sounds like a wonderful place to visit and stock up.

Our children are more interested in going to the "Farmers Market", when we go on vacation, than anything else. Produce can be very expensive here.

Your post is a great reminder to visit our wonderful downtown Farmer's Market. I love that you captured another Phoenix landmark in the background, the Westward Ho, a luxury hotel opened in the late 20's (and now a government subsidized retirement home). Movie buffs may recognize this building as it makes a brief appearance in the opening sequence of the 90's remake of Hitchcock's "Psycho."

Hey, welcome to the CDPB btw - I see that your blog is rather new. :)
You'll have to brave the heat and go back. Farmer's markets with their fruits and vegetables and the little labels with the prices are such a that for the eyes!
