A Touch of Italy

I had dinner Friday night at an Italian restaurant that I had not been to before.  I met some friends there who told me that it is small place that has excellent food.  And, they were right.  The food was great.  When we were leaving, I had to stop and snap a photo of the mural on one of the walls.  I liked the modern or stylized take on a classic Venetian scene.  The signature on it was Manuel Gomez but, I couldn't find any other information about the artist.

Taking part in Monday Murals.

Seeing this I really feel an urge to visit Venice once again.

A nice spot for a cosy dinner.

The buildings look like Florence, the gondolas Venice, the water taxi station looks dead on for Venice. I like that the tables are farther apart in restaurants.

Italian food and a mural... lucky you.

That is wonderful, Sharon! And to actually see friends is wonderful too! We are in lockdown until June 2.

If it weren't for the gondola, it could be anywhere...

Nice mural! It's like a combination of Canaletto and Grandma Moses.

Oh I loves me any Italian restaurant. What's the name of this one?

This reminds me of a famous painter, but for the life of me, I can't remember who. Very well done and sure fits the theme, too.
