Prime Directive

I'm not referring to the Prime Directive of the United Federation of Planets, rather what seems like the standard prime directive for all of us during the the holiday season.  That is To Shop.  I was following this car when I spotted that special license plate.  It appeared to be an official license place with the proper stickers but, I had never seen a special plate with a black background before.  So, I did some research and the black custom license plates belong to the FFA (Future Farmers of America) organization.   It took me a while to figure out why an FFA plate would carry the message of SHOP.  I get it, shop for farm fresh groceries!

Shopping local is the prime directive in our area so I can appreciate this.
Happy Christmas Sharon and thanks for all your visits and comments on my posts!

Mystery solved. Now get out there in shop. :)

That doesn't seem to be the message that comes across to me. I never thought of shopping for food when I saw the pic!

Shopping for local food seems very wise to me but not always easy.

Food is about all I'll be shopping for anyway and I'm not thrilled about having to do that either. But that's just me.

How weird that the FFA would have a black license plate!

I wouldn't think to shop for food either, but who knows. I would think they could have picked a better colour than black and maybe put FFA on the license plate. Interested people would probably google it and find out what it stands for. A better way to get the message out, I would think.

I wouldn't have known that about the plates.

I see a fair number of red plates here. They're diplomatic plates.
