The Moon

I thought it would be appropriate to put up a photo of the moon today on the 50th anniversary of the moon landing.  The Apollo Lunar Module Eagle landed on the moon's surface on July 20th 1969 at 20:17 UTC.  I wonder if those footprints are still there.

It is funny but I don't remember where I was - I remember watching but there had been so much coverage over the few days that everything has blended together.

I think I read that they should still be there -- with no atmosphere, there's not a lot of wind on the moon. I'm no expert, though!

a beautiful shot, Sharon. I was working that day and listened to it on the radio. That's a good question, I wonder if the footprints are still there.
