Employee Apartments

These old gates appear to be originals left from when this was a working date farm. They are located in several areas around the buildings. I love that they were left here at the entrance to the areas where the homes are now located. The buildings to the right and ahead were part of the offices, garages, and employee apartments.
The small photo shows another one of the gates leading along a different walk.

Randy at Santa Fe has featured some gates on his blog, too. They're so Southwest, aren't they?"

I didn't ship Mr. Canon off to the factory because I thought it would take too long, but the local repair shop STILL hasn't given me an estimate since they "haven't gotten to it yet." Either they're busy with lots of back orders or they're not too organized. Hmmm! I wonder which it is!!

nice that the gates remain

Glad they have kept the gates, as they really fit the complex. I like this kind of low profile atmosphere, far from the nouveau riche look.

Wonderful old gates. They add to the feel of the place.
