It's good to see that Blogger is working correctly again. I'll take this opportunity to show you some photos from the Driehaus Museum, the historic home we visited on Wednesday. To the left is the main entrance hall.
This is a scene from one of the three sitting rooms. That is a painting by Mary Cassatt over the fire place. They had two of her paintings in this room and I thought it was a coincidence since we had seen that exhibit at the Art Institute earlier that week.
Lastly, here is photo of my dessert on Wednesday evening. You see this trip was to celebrate my birthday and my dear friends David and Riley made sure I had three fantastic days of celebration. It was one of those "milestone" birthdays. Think of a number and then forget it. 😃
By the way, we had my birthday dinner at La Colonial a restaurant we used to frequent back in those days we were working in Chicago. It's in a new location but it's still has elegant and delicious as before.
