The Beat of the Drums

One last look at the theme of music.  How about some Native American drums?

I found these beauties at one of the many Native American celebrations that take place at the Heard Museum.

Music was a great theme for our August 1st expression!

Just on their own the drums look very artistic. The drum maker is very creative.

Native Americans really know how to beat the drums. Your images are very colourfulI found a wonderful small factory in Taos, NM that had drums of all sizes and shapes. Bought one for my son who uses it as an end table! wish I had kept it for myself!

There is something about "primitive" drums, isn't there? I am captivated whenever I come across them.
