New World Sculpture

Here is another sculpture from the Whispers of a New World exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden that I featured twice last week. This is one that I'm not especially fond of.  What do you all think?

To me it looks like shells of crustaceans or skinned vegetables... or both! :-)

Well there has certainly been a lot of work put into it Sharon, when you pull it in close you can see all the detail, but it's one of those 'in the eye of the beholder' type situations.

This looks like big bug parts.

I rather like it...well, sort of. It's colorful but it reminds me of a peanut gone crazy. Or a plant from an alien planet. :-)

This is beautiful, very well captured.

Not my favourite either. I like the red part on the right but the other section doesn't do it for me.

Kind of creepy but colorful.

I kind of like it. You would be the only one on the block with one if it was yours.

It is not for me, but my tastes in art are usually pretty traditional.

It might not be a favourite, but it surely stands out in that setting.

I so wanted to present a fiber exhibit for the next APGA conference next May.... I find these intriguing sculptures to be almost magical.
