When Friends Meet

Here is another Allan Houser sculpture on display at the Desert Botanical Garden. This one is named “When Friends Meet”. This one has been a challenge to photograph because its back is facing southwest, right where the sun is always sitting. I took this shot on a cloudy day.

Great job! All the better because you had to work at it.

I really like this sculpture. Elegant in its simplicity, but a meaningful theme. You have a great eye and a tenacity to get the right shot. It's always a pleasure to see your pictures.

You did a great job. Reminds me of three nuns! I have found another spectacular Houser in the foyer of Santa Maria de la Paz Church in Santa Fe, but cannot photograph it well, either, because of it's position in front of a wall of glass. It is so wonderful, tho. It was donated to the church after its completion and shortly before Houser's death.

Should proofread, which I often neglect. I DO know the difference between its and it's! (English teacher pet peeve! Wouldn't my former students love this error!
