When I did the two previous posts about the "Orchid Fever" exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden, one of my followers asked what will happen to all those beautiful orchids when the exhibit is over. I found that answer last week on an Instagram post.
They were all donated to nonprofit organizations.
Over 2,000 orchids were donated to different hospitals around the valley and to the Child Crisis Center and to the various Hospice of the Valley locations. It's good to know that these beauties have gone to places where they will continue to bring smiles to faces.

That’s such a lovely outcome! It’s wonderful to hear that the orchids from the Orchid Fever exhibit didn’t just disappear behind the scenes, but instead were given a second life with nonprofit organizations
Plant cloning developed in the 70-s and 80's have drastically increased the worlds orchid supply.
Your orchid photos are stunning!
These are absolutely stunning. Donating is such a lovely thing to do.
That is lovely to hear that they have been passed along to other places where they will be enjoyed, Sharon.
The flowers will bring smiles to many faces.
A good move.
I'm glad they were able to re-home them.
