I was back at the Desert Botanical Garden at 6:00 AM again on Sunday. (I have to get those walks in now before it gets too hot to be outside.). I was lucky to see a hummingbird dancing around a plant not very far from where I was standing.
I snapped a few shots and these two were the only ones worth showing.
Then the little fellow moved over to sample the blooms on a yucca plant and I got another pretty good shot. He was having a great time around these plants until another hummingbird came too close. They chased each other and then flew away. Hummingbirds are very territorial. They do not like to share.

What a lovely way to start your day. Your last shot is amazing!
Great shots, Sharon. I remember being at a friend's cottage and seeing the hummingbirds fighting over a space at the feeder. I was surprised that these wee guys were so fierce.
Wonderful shots of the hummingbirds.
Beautiful! And impressive pictures against the flowers.
Beautiful captures.
