I took this photo when I was at the Desert Botanical Garden in the evening a couple of weeks ago. I liked the look of those saguaros in silhouette against the evening sky. The more I looked at this photo, the more I noticed. Do you see that teeny-tiny white dot in the middle of the mountain? That is actually a hole in the mountain. It's a popular place for people to climb when visiting Papago Park which is just on the other side. Looking up, I see bird perched on the top of one of the saguaro's arms. And, all the way to the left and just above the horizon, I see an airplane on landing approach going into Sky Harbor International Airport. There are lots of things to see in this simple photo.

It's a really great photo Sharon.
A silhouetted saguaro with a perched bird, a distant airplane near Sky Harbor, and a tiny white dot that’s actually the famous hole in the mountain at Papago Park—all hidden within a seemingly simple evening scene.
Seeing the details around us, I have a post on that scheduled for sometime in the next month.
Little hidden details, Sharon. Cool!
What a great photo! And I'm glad you pointed out the details.
It's fun to look at photos and see what unexpected things show up. When I taught, I would have the students look at a photo for 3 -5 minutes, writing down everything they see. After that, they would take that list, choose one item that really spoke to him or her, and then use it for a writing prompt. We'd do this once a month. The first few times, the stories were a little rugged but after they knew what to expect, some creativity and depth of thought began to shine.
What a fabulous photos. Thanks for pointing out those details.
That's a beautiful silhouette!
Lots to see!
The darkness of them stands out well.
