I'm not a fan of Direct TV but I do enjoy seeing blimps fly over so when I saw this one practically over the top of me, I had to take a shot.
Then I extended the telephoto to see if I could see the pilots inside but, alas, not the right angle. Such a tiny little space with all that huge space above.

Always a special sight to see one of these moving overhead!
Good grief I didn't realise these were people controlled, I thought they were always tethered on a rope
Don't fancy being up in one of these Sharon.. but somehow I'm sure you would have guessed that :) exciting to see right above you though, well snapped!
You man not have captured any people but you got a nice shot of the cabin that they ride in. We never see these here.
Quite a photographic subject! I was watching a PBS documentary on zeppelins last night, in terms of their use in the First World War.
Oooh, wouldn't you have loved to be on board? I would!
Every time I see a blimp I think of the Hindenburg.
That reminds me I have a Balloon flight to come yet. I'd love to go in a Blimp
It is always exciting to see one! A bit magical.
WBLM a rock radio station here is called 'The Blimp'.
"It's the Blimp! It's the Blimp! It's the Blimp!"
I am never going up in one of those. A flying pillow case.
Top of mind advertising, I wonder if it worked.
Still, well done. I would so like to go for a ride in one of these.
What is the career path to becoming a blimp pilot?
Nice zooming. At least they don't make much noise :-)
