I watched this strange looking building being built and had no idea what it was until it was finished and the signs went up. It's the brand new Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.
Taking a photo from the street here isn't the best vantage point because of the wires and fences in the way.

The Sheriff certainly has a very modern looking office!
Love the horse. The building not so much. There's modern and then there's ugly modern. Maybe one has to see it in person. Nice photos, though!
Maybe the overhanging aspects of the building are to provide shade for people who often demonstrate against the policies of Sheriff Joe Arpaio.
The location of the building wold cause the demonstrators not be be noticed very much, in comparison to the former location of the Sheriff's headquarters, more in the heart of downtown.
Wow! That is different. Wonderful sculpture though. I am trying to figure out where this is.

Yeah, the horse is nice but the basketry building is ugly as sin.
I'm not sure I like the architecture. It reminds me of the French ministry of finance looming above the Seine river. I do like the horse though!
The horse is nice, the building itself... rather off putting.
Is that the same sheriff who seems to make a lot of noise and stick his nose into things he should stay out of?
This might take a while to become beloved of the residents of Maricopa Cty!

Wow! I had to embiggen these shots to have a closer look Sharon. Amazing architecture, it's one of those that people will either love or hate don't you think? I do agree with all abvoe, the horse sculpture is a beauty.

Wherever Joe's office is, I'm sure it has a view!
