I thought I'd post one photo of where I was off to last weekend. I spent a fabulous weekend in Chicago visiting friends, having fantastic meals, and visiting old favorite spots in the city. I spent Friday taking photos but, alas the weather did not cooperate. I ended up coming home with one more souvenir umbrella, something we Arizonans never remember to pack. Regardless of the weather, it was a wonderful weekend and a great escape.

I've never been there but your photo makes me want to take the river tour.
Julie and I cherish the memories and familiarity with Chicago that we gained while visiting you when you lived in Chicago.
Escapes are good. I've got a BIG one coming. Some excited.
This is a superb photo in that it really conveys the essence of that city.
We lived in Chicago also...in the late 60s. I went to college there and did graduate work there. Lived in Glenview for awhile.
Wondered where you were flying off to! :)
Gosh this is a fab shot Sharon, I didn't realise the river ran through the city like this..you've inspired me to find out a little more about Chicago.
This is such a wonderful shot! I'm not sure where in Chicago this is though. What a great city. Too bad the weather turned bad.
I LOVE Chicago!!!! Great boat tour! Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
Fantastic image, so much to see!
Chicago is an under-rated city. Nice shot.
That's exactly how I imagine Chicago! You must have enjoyed even more if you lived there in the past.
I've never been and it isn't that long a drive and is a short flight away so I should go! Great shot, Sharon.
Another place I would like to visit.
great shot!
Chicago is a wonderful city. I have been to the same place you were. And, even though I live in the summer in a place where it rains plenty, I am rarely near an umbrella when it rains, so I keep buying new ones, too.
Wonderful mix of old and new architecture.
Lived in Chicago for six years and loved it; your vacation reminds me to go back again! You captured a wonderful scene.
What a fantastic view of Chicago! Great shot, Sharon.
