I didn't know that! But it makes sense now when I recall how butterflies land on a flower. Fascinating. Can't imagine what that poor thing is thinking when feet first on her foot!
Dave is right, a butterfly is the only insect that I would tolerate landing on me. I guess it might be thinking that blue toe flowers don't taste so good.
I never knew this fact...they are so so comforting to me when they make a visit to my world...transitional souls returning...that is what I am feeling. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
When we lived in Mexico we always wanted to go to where the Monarchs come by the zillions in the winter. Never made it but I've seen pictures of people with those beautiful orange butterflies all over them.

Now we know that butterflies like the taste of blue nail polish.
Clearly likes the colour blue!
The butterfly is far more attractive than the toes! Fun to see and feel butterflies when they land on one's person.

Usually people would not want insects landing on them. I guess butterflies are an exception. Another example of favoritism based on appearance.

Great butterfly, I am surprised you could take the picture on the foot.
