There is a new exhibit at the Desert Botanical Garden. This time it features orchids, lots and lots of orchids. It's called Orchid Fever and it's to celebrate the opening of a new exhibit gallery that was recently completed.
This exhibit showcases orchids growing side-by-side with cactus and succulents. It makes a great photo opportunity.
As you might have guessed, I took lots of photos. Between all the art shows I attended last weekend and this visit to the garden, I have more photos than I know what to do with.

Do orchids and cactus thrive in the same growing conditions?
No, orchids need a more tropical environment. Putting them together was just for this exhibit.
Rugged cactus paired with delicate orchids - what an interesting but beautiful combination.
That makes for a great exhibit, Sharon.
I am waiting for my orchid's buds to open.
I have never had an orchid! I really don't know much about them, other than they are very beautiful shapes and colours. They partner well with the cactus in your phots.
Who knew orchids and cactus would look so good together?!
What a wonderful exhibit to see.
Orchids are hard to grow and sustain. Beautiful displays
A very popular plant all over the world.
This seems like it would be a challenge for either the orchids or the cactus, even if the exhibit is short-lived!
