Pictures from Phoenix and sometimes from the surrounding cities that make up the "Valley of the Sun"
And what a sight they are!
Our very first home had a huge Russian Olive tree in our front yard and in spring, the Monarchs would flock to the tree. What a sight! You photographed this beauty so well!
The Monarchs are back at more than the Desert Botanical Garden. Julie and I saw a Monarch like this land on a lantana flower in our back yard.
I loved going to this exhibit. I could spend hours in the garden.
I'm going to try to again to leave a comment...Blogger has been giving me error messages and then I lose what I've written. Frustrating.Anyway, I said this is one of the nicest Monarch butterfly photos I've seen. Great color and sharpness.Re your comment on The Villages: These are Ibises...they are ubiquitous in Florida!Have a wonderful week ahead.
A jewel of a picture!1
Picture perfect! I just took a photo of another kind of butterfly this afternoon which will post tomorrow morning! A lovely Monarch indeed!
I can't wait to see this exhibit.
You are so lucky to have them there! Gorgeous shot.
