Theme Day: Rust & Ruin

Sitting in the parking lot of a restaurant in north Phoenix is this old Austin slowly disintegrating.  It's been sitting in that same parking slot for as long as I can remember.

It makes me wonder if the restaurant owner bought this car with the intention of restoring it or possibly using it as a display for the restaurant but, never got around to getting the job done.

Instead, the elements have taken their toll.

That's a shame, looks like it was once a grand looking car.

I hope I never end up rusting and forgotten.

Too bad. I'm sure it would be worth something if restored.

Poor old Austen :) but fantastic find for the theme Sharon!

Seems a shame to let the car rust away.

It wont rust away as fast in Phoenix as it would on the coast. Maybe the owner parked it there years ago and is still inside eating.

Ouch. The flat tyre is so sad! I wouldn't mind restoring it!

It looks a little sad, poor thing. Maybe someone will take pity on it and restore it!

This car became a logo for this restaurant over time. The detail is very well chosen.

Me again....thanks for your comment on my blog. Sorry to hear about your falls in London, but it is comforting to know I'm not the only one who has these mishaps!

You seem to be a super sleuth for old, rusting vehicles!
