Strange but true

A week ago, I found this house not far from where I live and had to turn around and go back for another look.  Well, I guess the good news is that they don't have to worry about trimming these "palm trees".

I think that I would turn around, too. It certainly is different...artists live there perhaps?

Is this one on 7th street? There was always an artist who lived there and he always had interesting art in his front yard.

They remind me somewhat of the 1953 movie War Of The Worlds!

Obviously this neighborhood does not have a homeowners association with an architectural control committee.

Not too different than pink flamingos.

My goodness, very unusual.

I've learned from one of my readers that the person living in this house makes these Palm Trees and sells them to various outlets.

That is so fun and funky! I suppose they have a rock yard, too.

And trimming palm trees is no joke. At our Ocala house we had three by the pool which had to be trimmed several times a year and it cost $100 per tree each time!

Fun and unusual yard art.

I guess lawn art? Interesting way to landscape your yard!

Quite unique! I wonder what they are made of, plastic, fabric?

Glad you found some information out about them. I would probably have stopped traffic...you at least were kind enough to turn around and go back. :)

I used to trim a palm tree we had in our yard. A messy, dirty and fearful job after I learned scorpions like to live in them.

Strange and funny at the same time. Great find.

Those are really neat. They also look like jellyfish. It would be even better if they had lights!
