I have two more photos from the "Favorites" file today. This one was taken in May of 2014 when I spotted this cactus with an agave plant situated a few feet away. I like the way they complimented each other.
Almost exactly a year later in May of 2015, I photographed the same cactus and this time it appeared centered with the agave plant. The same two plants, just two different perspectives. Which do you think works best?

I would print the second one, the Background looks like a crown around the cactus.
I go for the 2nd one too.
We were in San Miguel de Allende so it was mid 80s during the day and cool at night - perfect.
The two perspectives offer different things to think about. I like the offset in the first one and seeing the shadows from the the thorns on the cactus. The centering of the cactus on the second one offers balance and the agave flares out around the cactus.
The 2 plants show 2 different textures and colours.
I think both are equally good as the other. I love getting different perspectives with photographs. The slightest move can offer a totally different view as you've shown here.
