The Seasonal Flower & More

Poinsettias are the flower of the season.  But here in Arizona, thanks to our climate, there is so much more.

The roses are blooming at Steele Indian School Park.

And the chilies are bright red and plump.  Imagine that for your front door wreath.

Red is a favorite color of mine, so I really enjoy the season. Hosting a party Thursday night and have been trying to keep my poinsettia centerpiece alive. I don’t have much luck with them. I either don’t water them enough or too much....and they don’t like the drafts in my house. I had better luck in a Houston where I could put them outside. Too cold, up here in the DFW area.
Thanks again for coming by.

Nice! Lots of red! I saw an article today in the NYT that said the chili harvest is down in New Mexico for some reason. (I admit I didn't read it -- just saw the headline.)
