Break Out the Chips and Salsa

Today is Cinco de Mayo, that Mexican holiday that we Americans celebrate but most Mexicans do not.  It's the day we head to our local Mexican Restaurant for a hearty meal and a Margarita (or two). My friend David and I have plans to celebrate the day with a delicious Mexican treat and of course it will start with some chips and salsa.

A painful past for French people but I do like so much tortillas, rather guacamole than salsa and margharita of course.

Sounds like a feast to celebrate with our Mexican friends. The community here in St. Paul celebrate with a parade and street food, all drawing large crowds. Yesterday I drove to El Burrito Mercado to buy tamales and beans; we got a headstart with a fine meal.

One would think Cinco de Mayo would be big in Ocala as we have lots of immigrants working the farms and fields. I'm afraid these days, though, they're afraid to come out during daylight hours and parade around. Trump's goon squad will pick them up and export them!

Have fun and enjoy the food. I love Mexican food, it's just not the same here.

I completely forgot about Cinco de Mayo! (Not a big deal in London.)
