Painting Experience
Yesterday morning I joined four friends for a painting lesson on the patio of the Hermosa Inn. That's my empty seat on this end of the table and across the table is my friend Emily, her mother and dad and on the far end is my friend David. As you can see from the photo, the hotel provided mimosas to get our artistic juices flowing.
This is the example picture that our instructor provided as a guide for us to follow while she actually painted another one right next to this.
And, here's how mine turned out. Not quite like the example but not too bad either. In fact, I quite like it. It was a wonderfully fun event and I think all of us enjoyed it so much we may do it again.
I have a new post on Sharon's Sojourns today. What color do you think dominates the scene in London?
A really great result and I love group activities like these.

I love your painting Sharon, I hope it's going to go up on a wall in your new abode :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a fun time! I would love to get involved even though my painting skills are seriously lacking. I like your painting more than the original because the colors are a bit bolder and it's got more character!
ReplyDeleteI like your bolder colours, Sharon! Well done!
ReplyDeleteYou did so well! I shudder at the thought of what mine would have looked like! Scrambled eggs no doubt...
ReplyDeleteGreat result, Sharon !
ReplyDeleteI quite like yours, Sharon. Keep on painting.
ReplyDeleteI do like yours!
ReplyDeleteYou did a wonderful job. Mimosas and painting sounds pretty fun to me!
ReplyDeleteI think I would be intimidated to sit so close to others who were painting the same scene or subject. Of course, I have zero talent for painting so no wonder I'd be intimidated! You did good, girl!
ReplyDeleteWell, I thought that we all knew that mimosas are essential to get the creative juices flowing! You had fun and have a great painting as evidence.
ReplyDeleteWonderful Sharon and what a great together experience. I would perhaps have a problem of concentration being outside like this with others so close, but what do I know without trying?
ReplyDeleteI'm not a good painter, but this looks fun!
ReplyDeleteA very good one! Love the bright colors!
ReplyDeleteMy son works in the Hartford "Paint Night" program. It seems to be popular, too.
