Lost Shoe
Someone is missing a shoe! I saw this one little shoe sitting on a bench all alone. Some mother is not going to be happy when she notices one bare foot on her little tyke.
I once read an essay, or perhaps heard a Garrison Keillor monologue, about the common sight of a single shoe along a highway. There is a story behind every one.
And not any shoe! I can imagine a crying kid just before the shoe was lost...
ReplyDeleteSweet little shoe too, mum's not going to be happy :)
ReplyDeleteSeldom do you find two shoes. A few years ago I wrote a poem about "orphaned" shoes.
ReplyDeleteHi again! Here's the link to the poem:

Have a great weekend!
Well, it's not mine... :)
ReplyDeleteI always hope that they will come back looking for it, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI often see Mums with one shoe in their hand, the other on a toddler's foot in a pram! Cute shot!

ReplyDeleteWhen it comes to raising kids this is occupational hazard.
ReplyDeleteOne often sees this happen, particularly if the kid's in a stroller.
ReplyDeleteI'm always amazed at the pieces of discarded clothing one typically finds on a walk in Phoenix. And other places, too!
ReplyDeleteGood looking athletic footwear.
