I met this fellow hanging (literally) around the Saks Fifth Avenue store near me. He's on duty in the cosmetic department and he represents the Kiehl's cosmetic company. Is it just me or does it seem a bit strange to have a skeleton used as an advertising gimmick for a cosmetic company? A little sign explains that the original Mr. Bones resides in the Kiehl's flagship store in New York and he was used to "help educate on and demonstrate the causes and effects of various ailments." Hmmm...I'm not sure how he would demonstrate dry skin or an itchy scalp.
I think he needs to reduce the strength of his skincare products!
ReplyDeleteAwesome, better than the one we have in the atrium
ReplyDeleteHe likes his glasses big.
ReplyDeleteNow that is rather surprising...but I really do like your shot.
ReplyDeleteA good post to evoke clever comments. My brain hasn't hit the funny hour yet.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful smile, looks very friendly...
ReplyDeleteThis is just plain stange. Eye-catching, yes. But cosmetics? I think Saks needs to rethink this project - flesh it out, so to speak!
ReplyDeleteThat guy needs a sandwich!
ReplyDeleteRather whimsical!
ReplyDeleteI find it quite odd, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteI've seen a couple of those around, they probably use them everywhere now!!!
ReplyDeleteSome of the Kiehl's also have old Indian Motorcycles out front to help sell the wares. That doesn't make sense to me either...
ReplyDeleteStrange.
ReplyDeleteEeks a bit creepy
ReplyDeleteI don't know about you, but I'm not buying any of their stuff. Of course, I wasn't going to anyway.
ReplyDeleteLike me I think he needs new glasses.
ReplyDeleteThis would drive me to the Chanel counter.
ReplyDeleteMr. Bones looks very dapper with that bow tie!!
ReplyDeleteMy what big teeth he has :) I have to say that's the strangest skin care rep I've ever seen, you made me lol with this one Sharon :)
