Mid-Century Modern in Scottsdale
When I was walking around in Scottsdale two weeks ago, I came across a street lined with mid-century modern apartment complexes. At least they were apartments at one time. Now they all seem to be condos and many of them are listed on the short-term rental market. That makes sense, their location couldn't be better. Within walking distance of galleries, restaurants, night clubs and shops. I liked the way this one had the cutouts for the palm trees to grow right up through the roof.
The place definitely has the mid-century modern look to it. I'll show you a couple of the other complexes in a future post.

Very 'futuristic', I like it!
That is an unusual design. The way that you describe it I might wanna move in!
I like the futuristic design as well.

Oh this is fantastic Sharon :) why did I think of both the Flintstones and the Jetsons :)
Interesting design, I'm glad they let the palms growing :)
Makes me wonder which came first, the palms or the buildings. Nice find.
Wonderful! I love it, Sharon!
Looks like a lovely place and I think I would like to live there. The palm tree is a nice touch!
The cutouts are a very nice touch!
I had the same "chicken or the egg" thought that Judy had. I like the look of it.
Nice, looks like a design from the 60's.
Oh wow! I wonder what would have happened if the palm trees grew crooked, lol! I love it, despite the fact that I'm not normally a mid XXth century architecture fan!
