May I join you?
I was sitting enjoying an iced tea when this little cactus wren joined me at the table and stayed for quite a while. He was pecking away at those white dots which I think is just pollen from the tree I was under. Cactus wrens are a friendly bunch!
And he even posed for a photo. What a nice bird. These must sense that you're a good person and would never hurt them.
Re your comment on Ocala: Our "high-end" mall - ha, ha, ha, ha, ha. They don't call it the Paddock Mall for nothing! It might serve as a parking garage for your high-end mall. :)
He's very friendly, and clearly enjoys posing for the camera!
ReplyDeleteWhat a delightful little visitor Sharon :)
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! I love those little guys.
ReplyDeleteQuite a handsome chap. Very photogenic.

Definitely a cute fellow! Amazing that he got so close.
ReplyDeleteHe obviously thought (knew) you were a kind soul, Sharon! ;-)
ReplyDeleteAnd pretty little 'uns too!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I'm surprised he was so tame.

ReplyDeleteTasty bites.
ReplyDeleteHere you'd be talking dippty-dot ice-melter on a skating rink of ice.
Anyone for hockey?
How cute! I can't believe he was so friendly. I've never seen a cactus wren, but I have Carolina wrens in my backyard. They are not this brave!
ReplyDeleteYou are lucky he stayed still enough for a sharp portrait.
ReplyDeleteSo nice of him to stop by for a photo.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot. You must have had a really fast shutter speed. The bird has pretty good desert cammo.
ReplyDeleteInteresting bill on that bird; must make getting at the cactus easier if it is longer!
