Another photo from the Japanese Friendship Garden. I saw a large patch of Iris in bloom and their bright colors made such a beautiful contrast against the green surrounding them. We in Arizona need to enjoy these lovely flowers now before the summer heat puts them back into hibernation.
What a great pic! Love Iris!
ReplyDeleteSo nice that you say hibernation to summertime. By is this means winter!
Greatings from Austria :-)

Now that colour is RICH!
ReplyDeleteThis is too coincidental!
ReplyDeleteI like the colour.
ReplyDeleteWe have a friend who named her daughter Iris. Your photo shows a good reason why that is a good name.
ReplyDeleteI love purple so this is a special delight! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI think that iris is my favorite flower. They are so fancy!
ReplyDeleteI hadn't even thought about Irises yet so what a treat it is to see this, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteFab macro Sharon, the inner section of flowers and plants has always fascinated me by it's complexity. I relate to the 'summer heat' hibernation.. just for interest what would be your highest temp in summer?
ReplyDeleteI want an article of clothing in this colour. Maybe a big flowing scarf. It is beautiful
ReplyDeleteGorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. Like a colourful ball-gown.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful iris and photo of it. Ours are just beginning to bloom, there's a very pale mauve one just in front of my office!
ReplyDeleteSo lovely. I miss my garden with irises.
ReplyDeleteStunning.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous close up!
ReplyDeleteOh, this is BEAUTIFUL!
