Yummy Spring Color!

Another photo from the Japanese Friendship Garden.  I saw a large patch of Iris in bloom and their bright colors made such a beautiful contrast against the green surrounding them.  We in Arizona need to enjoy these lovely flowers now before the summer heat puts them back into hibernation.

So nice that you say hibernation to summertime. By is this means winter!

  3. We have a friend who named her daughter Iris. Your photo shows a good reason why that is a good name.

  7. Fab macro Sharon, the inner section of flowers and plants has always fascinated me by it's complexity. I relate to the 'summer heat' hibernation.. just for interest what would be your highest temp in summer?

  9. Beautiful iris and photo of it. Ours are just beginning to bloom, there's a very pale mauve one just in front of my office!
