The botanical garden is open at 7:00 AM for members only on Sundays so I headed out early to see if those baby roadrunners had fledged yet. They hadn't. They were still in the nest but, they did look like they were getting a bit restless. However, I was lucky enough to catch momma roadrunner bringing back a little breakfast for the kids!
I love that early morning "members only" period at the garden. It's so quiet. Just me and about 50 other camera laden photographers, some with lenses the size of a nice Harley-Davidson.
I did not know about the 7:00 am openings on Sundays for members, and we are members.
ReplyDeleteIt's a jungle out there.
ReplyDeletewhat an extraordinary capture!
ReplyDeleteWhat camera and lens do you use; please reveal. The photo is awesome and a real pleasure to view.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast in bed! Great shot!
ReplyDeleteBrilliant capture Sharon, brekkie looks delicious :) The 150 to 600 zoom for my new camera is so small (about the size of a small can of red bull) and light, yet it does the same work as those huge lenses, so sweet.

ReplyDelete'I can't believe I've got a flat tire!"
ReplyDeleteThat might be the least of this critter's problems.
GRIN.
You are a true photographer...getting out of bed early to get the shot! And what a shot! This is just excellent! Wow!
ReplyDeleteI'll stick to bacon and eggs, please!
ReplyDeleteYou have to be fast on your feet to catch a lizard.
ReplyDeleteHmmm....you're out taking pictures while I'm sitting in bed drinking coffee.
It appears you have discover Nirvana in your own backyard. I am loving getting to see roadrunners up close and intimate through your camera lens. Have a great week!. Peace, Mary Helen Fernandez Stewart
