View revisited...

Back in 2010 I posted a photo of this lot with construction starting on this house.  Last week I took another drive up on the north side of Camelback Mountain and found the same house completed.  Click on the link to see the original post.

Is it just me or does the architecture seem to fight with its surroundings? A lovely house to be sure, and southwestern in nature, but it seems too angular or something.

Lowell, I agree. It could have been built to blend in more with the surroundings.

They must have a wonderful view.

I like this shot with a great contrast between the natural and the human "buildings".

Nice shot but I agree, the house could have been designed to blend in with the surroundings a bit more.

Angular or not, I want to live there!

They have a great view in the back and probably the front too.

I'd say all the mess was worth it!

Nice house but they need to work on the lawn!

It is a shame that people are allowed to encroach on such a beautiful natural setting, but so long as they are, this home is relatively nice.

For a house in a setting such as this, I think at a minimum the color should blend in with the surroundings. This could have been an earth tone.

What an amazing place to build a house Sharon, almost into the side of the mountain. It took a while to build, i guess getting materials up there might have been a little more difficult than a building on a normal plot yeh!

The house and yard look really cool, but the setting... WOW!
