Theme Day: Animals

How would like to see this guy peeking out from the branches of a tree?  I wasn't in any real danger.  I took this photo at the Phoenix Zoo with the telephoto lens.  Suddenly the tiger climbed a tree in his compound and starting looking down the people who were looking at him.  Do you think he was sizing us up for an afternoon snack?

  8. You were lucky to see this tiger doing something. Many times they are just sleeping when I have been there and very hard to get a look at. I am so glad that they have such a nice enclosure to live in that gives them trees to climb and things to do.
It is a magnificent creature and you go a good picture too.

  10. The lion may be the king of the jungle, but this tiger looks very regal.

  12. What a superb portrait! It's a fine-looking animal and I think its fine looking at it from behind a very high and very secure fence!

  20. Proof that you can make some pretty spectacular "wildlife" shots in zoos. Yours could belong in a National Geographic magazine ! :)
