How would like to see this guy peeking out from the branches of a tree? I wasn't in any real danger. I took this photo at the Phoenix Zoo with the telephoto lens. Suddenly the tiger climbed a tree in his compound and starting looking down the people who were looking at him. Do you think he was sizing us up for an afternoon snack?

ReplyDeletegorgeous.
ReplyDeleteThey truly are magnificent animals! He is nicely camouflaged if a snack is what he has in mind!
ReplyDeleteSeems very quiet and not hungry, you had good luck, Sharon. haha..
ReplyDeleteReally nice photo.
What a majestic beauty. I love the sense that we are seeing him in the wild.
ReplyDeletewv: welikent
Welikent this photo a lot. LOL
excellent image and he looks like he has energy in his eyes and he does not look too happy at the people though
ReplyDeleteHow I would love to see one in the wild but, like you, only had the chance in zoos. Fantastic capture, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteSuperbe photo, Sharon. Perfetto! What a gorgeous creature.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great shot Sharon, you'd never believe this magnificent animal was in the zoo. Love the big cats best of all!
ReplyDeleteYou were lucky to see this tiger doing something. Many times they are just sleeping when I have been there and very hard to get a look at. I am so glad that they have such a nice enclosure to live in that gives them trees to climb and things to do.
ReplyDeleteIt is a magnificent creature and you go a good picture too.
What a great shot! He does look very intimidating, doesn't he? Love this choice for theme day.
ReplyDeleteThe lion may be the king of the jungle, but this tiger looks very regal.
ReplyDeletebeautiful creatures! tigers (I think) are much more interesting to watch, than lions.
ReplyDeleteWhat a superb portrait! It's a fine-looking animal and I think its fine looking at it from behind a very high and very secure fence!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot! I do think he was probaly wishing he could choose his next meal.
ReplyDeleteSimply stunning shot, Sharon!
ReplyDeleteProbably wanted some privacy!
ReplyDeleteYour tiger looks very intelligent and calm. Kind of like he rules this neighborhood.
ReplyDeleteI'm just dying to photog a tiger! I'm jealous you got such a great shot.
ReplyDeletethis is a superb shot.
ReplyDeleteIs it me or seems really angry?
ReplyDeleteArguably my favourite feline. Absolutely gorgeous and so much more regal than mine today!
ReplyDeleteGreat theme photo Sharon!
ReplyDeleteNow that's an extremely pretty kitty.
ReplyDeleteI think he wanted to check your purse for some catnip.
ReplyDeleteWhat a handsome cat!!!
ReplyDeleteProof that you can make some pretty spectacular "wildlife" shots in zoos. Yours could belong in a National Geographic magazine ! :)
