Yesterday I went to the Tempe Arts and Crafts Festival in downtown Tempe. It's the biggest festival of it's kind in the valley and it happens twice a year in the spring and in the fall. Well, yesterday it felt more like winter. I think this guy was keeping warm from the steam and all that stir frying action. It looked like interesting 'fair' food but, it was way too cold for me to eat out doors. I selected a nice warm pub for lunch instead.
I'll have to watch for this guy at another festival (when it's a bit warmer). I think I'd like to try his noodles.
I ate this last year when I was there....YUMMY!
ReplyDeleteI am SO hungry right how and that looks delicious!
ReplyDeleteinside a warm pub on a cold day sounds like an excellent choice to me.
ReplyDeleteThe cook probably didn't know the temps were going to be chilly since he chose a short-sleeved shirt. But maybe all the cooking kept him warm.
ReplyDeleteDelightful to have good food available during a craft fair, but I would have followed you right into the pub. As a Midwesterner gazing out at our beautiful winter wonderland into which I will soon venture to take a bracing walk, I wonder what temperature it might be to make it too cold for you to eat outside.? I say this with much affection, Sharon, but folks in your part of the country must be weather wimps!!
ReplyDeletePubs are good choices and I think you can probably find noodles there... and libation!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you made the right choice for your lunch venue Sharon, although those noodles do look sooo good!!
ReplyDelete"Wok man"...good one! It does look good. I'm sure it would have felt quite balmy to me after my snowy, freezing walk in the park yesterday. Kate's comment made me laugh.
ReplyDeleteYum, indeed. Looks fantastic.
ReplyDeleteGreat title, it does look delicious! it was very cold yesterday, but I guess we are sort of spoiled.
ReplyDeleteThat looks scrumptious - I am starving right now. It is +10˚C here and people would eat outside in that if the sun was out but it's raining!!
ReplyDeleteThis does look good, but a warm pub sounds nice.
ReplyDeleteLove arts and crafts fairs if for no other reason than to take interesting photos. Ours was in October and it was quite warm!
ReplyDeleteWe lived in Tempe in 1959...I worked and attended ASU and Lois worked in an office at ASU. In 1960 we bought a Hallcraft home in Scottsdale.
Finished my degree in 1963 and did a year of graduate work before moving to the Midwest.
I wanted to make it down for this festival but with my final just fell at the wrong time. Maybe in the Spring.
ReplyDeleteI love community functions like these.
