Underside

The underside of the 7th Avenue bridge in downtown Phoenix is very quiet on a Sunday afternoon.

nice capture.

It's actually quite pretty. I like how you can see the mountains on either side in the background.

I find early morning cities and the quietness pretty fascinating. When our kids were young, we'd hop on our bikes on early Sunday mornings and ride around Minneapolis' downtown with abandon.

What an interesting shot! Who woulda thunk it?

Maybe no one is there in part because it looks like this is a dead end, although the 7th Avenue bridge is in an area that would be fairly empty of people on a Sunday morning.

Not a soul in sight Sharon, wonder if the above bridge is a bit busier than this.

Nice shot! I have to ask , how did you happen to be under the bridge on a sunday morning?

Magpie said...

It looks almost peaceful.

Yes, I was thinking the same thing as Glenda, what were you doing under the bridge on Sunday afternoon? Pretty clean under there.

Nice, Sharon. I am a fan of "infrastructure" shots. This reminds me that I haven't done any in a while. Got to put it on the (long) list.

I've heard of a city's "underbelly" and by George, I think you've found it!

Nice perspective shot.

Like Lowell I love the perspective here!

Steff voiced my first reaction too. No graffiti.

It is always wonderful to be able to take a shot without cars and commotion, it gives a nice perspective to a shot. I usually head out early on a weekend morning.

I like this perspective.
