Park Setting

Summer at the Steele Indian School Park.  You can see Camelback Mountain way off in the background.

  1. Beautiful setting. It's hard to think "desert" when you see this.

  3. This ground used to be he site of the Phoenix indian School, where the federal government sent high school kids from Native American communities all over Arizona to attend high school in a boarding school setting, rather than having them go to high school on Native lands.
