Friday evening around 7:00 PM I stepped outside to see if it was any cooler yet. Friday's high here was 117 degrees (47C), our hottest day yet. It wasn't much cooler but, I did notice some interesting patterns in the clouds so decided to snap a few photos. This is taken from my front yard and looking over the tops of the houses across the street where there are lots of palm trees to enhance the sky shot.
Lovely colors.
ReplyDeletegorgeous, deep colors. beautiful silhouettes. but sooooo hot!!!!
ReplyDeleteYeah, we've had the heat over here in Palm Desert, too, AND school has started! We had a thunderstorm yesterday and today is HUMID already!
ReplyDelete117? Well, at least you captured a very 'cool' image of the fading heat.
ReplyDeleteBirdman is right Sharon, it's a very cool image love that tropical sky...47C oh my goodness, we don't even get too many of those here in Oz!! that's just horrible!!
ReplyDeletePerhaps the colors are mother nature's way of saying sorry for a miserably hot day.
ReplyDeleteHot, hot, hot. I guess I can't complain, we only hit the high 90's last week, but that high humidity kills me. I hope it cools down for you.
ReplyDeleteThis is just a beautiful sky, love the palm trees, color set off by the dark clouds.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Kathy the colors are wonderful. Nice to see palm trees too.
