Interesting sky

Friday evening around 7:00 PM I stepped outside to see if it was any cooler yet.  Friday's high here was 117 degrees (47C), our hottest day yet.  It wasn't much cooler but, I did notice some interesting patterns in the clouds so decided to snap a few photos.  This is taken from my front yard and looking over the tops of the houses across the street where there are lots of palm trees to enhance the sky shot.

Yeah, we've had the heat over here in Palm Desert, too, AND school has started! We had a thunderstorm yesterday and today is HUMID already!

117? Well, at least you captured a very 'cool' image of the fading heat.

Birdman is right Sharon, it's a very cool image love that tropical sky...47C oh my goodness, we don't even get too many of those here in Oz!! that's just horrible!!

Perhaps the colors are mother nature's way of saying sorry for a miserably hot day.

Hot, hot, hot. I guess I can't complain, we only hit the high 90's last week, but that high humidity kills me. I hope it cools down for you.

This is just a beautiful sky, love the palm trees, color set off by the dark clouds.

You have a beautiful view but I do NOT envy the temperatures you've been enduring.

47ºC??? OMG! The worst experiences I've ever had took place in Turkey and Ivory Coast, but I never knew what the temperatures were. This photo is absoltely beautiful!
