Huge Bloom

I saw this gorgeous bloom and a more like it last weekend.

That flower is about the size of a dinner plate!

  1. You made me want to go out and buy a new cactus, just now. It is pretty with flowers opening up.

  2. It is remarkable how a small cactus can have such large flowers.

Alas, the flowers last for such a short time, some only a day or two.

  4. I do believe this variety (Sharon, remind me of the name) does only bloom for one day. Did you find this one at DBG?

  10. My cactus that blooms like this, but with pale pink shading has already been going to town. I had six blooms on it last week. Not nearly as big as a dinner plate though.
