Downtown Phoenix

I took this photo of some of our downtown high-rise buildings from a different point of view than most skyline photos.  The building on the left is the Federal Courthouse.  U.S. Bank is in the center and the Orpheum Lofts building is the shorter one.  The lofts building was once an office building where I worked for several years.  I featured it in a post a few years ago here.

It's a great look.

The federal government has spent a mint on upgrading justice facilities all over the country. That looks like a fairly new courthouse, am I right? Tampa got a new one too, and it seems like many cities did. I'm not necessarily criticizing -- just observing!

This isn't the skyline I remember! Your photo gives new meaning to the word, "picturesque"!

Yes, nice contrast.

If I remember correctly, you have a strange situation with essentially two downtowns up and down Central Avenue. We have downtown proper and Clayton, but they are very different.

The styles are "modern" yet very different from one another.

Love to see city skylines Sharon, Phoenix looks a little like Perth with its diverse height and architectural styles.
